App releases

  1. v1.1.0

Codex CLI and Gemini CLI support

    • New: Codex CLI notifications. AI Done Now adds a notify command to ~/.codex/config.toml and posts “Codex is done” when an agent turn completes. (Enabling it replaces any existing notify line in that file.)
    • New: Gemini CLI notifications. AI Done Now adds a Notification hook to ~/.gemini/settings.json and alerts you when Gemini CLI needs your attention (for example a permission prompt).
    • New: Start/Stop toggles for Codex and Gemini CLI in the menu bar, next to Claude Code and Cursor.
    • Fixed: Codex notifications now parse the event payload Codex sends, so only completed turns trigger a “done” alert.
  2. v1.0.0

    First public release

    • Claude Code notifications: “Claude Code is done” (Glass sound) when Claude stops, and “Claude Code needs your permission” (Basso sound) when it is waiting on a tool approval. Hooks are written to ~/.claude/settings.json for you.
    • Cursor notifications: “Cursor is done”, plus alerts when the agent wants to run a shell command or use an MCP tool, via ~/.cursor/hooks.json.
    • Clicking a notification brings the tool's app to the front (Terminal for Claude Code, Cursor for Cursor).
    • Menu bar app with per-tool Start/Stop, onboarding, launch at login and license activation.
