1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how AI Done Now (the "App") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with your use of the App and any related services. We take your privacy seriously and design the App to minimize the amount of personal data we process.

By installing or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the App.

2. Who We Are

AI Done Now is a macOS menu bar application that notifies you when supported AI tools such as Claude Code and Cursor finish a task or require your attention. If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your data, you can contact us at puspalatha@hodolist.com.

3. Data We Do Not Collect

The App is designed to run locally on your Mac and to work primarily with metadata from supported tools. In particular, the App does not:

  • Upload the contents of your source code or files.
  • Upload your terminal output or command history.
  • Upload the full content of your AI prompts or responses.
  • Record keystrokes or take screenshots.

Any monitoring performed by the App is limited to detecting when specific events occur in supported tools (for example, task completion, errors, or permission prompts) so that a local notification can be triggered on your device.

4. Data We May Process

While we strive to minimize data collection, some personal data may be processed in order to provide licensing, support, and updates.

4.1 Purchase and License Information

When you purchase the App through a payment provider (such as Whop), that provider may share with us certain information necessary to deliver and manage your license, such as:

  • Your name (if provided to the payment provider).
  • Your email address.
  • Order ID and transaction details (amount paid, currency, purchase date).
  • License key associated with your purchase.

We use this information to generate and manage your license, provide support, and honor refund requests.

4.2 Basic Device and Activation Data

To enforce licensing and prevent abuse, the App may store and/or transmit limited technical information when you activate or validate your license, such as:

  • A hashed or otherwise pseudonymized identifier derived from your device.
  • Your license key and activation status.
  • App version and basic OS version information.

This information is used solely to validate your license and ensure it is being used in accordance with the Terms of Service (for example, one device per license). When offline, the App may allow limited offline use for a period (for example, up to 7 days) before requiring another license check.

4.3 Support Communications

If you contact us for support (for example, at puspalatha@hodolist.com), we will receive the information you send, which may include your email address, license key, log snippets, and any other details you choose to share. We use this information solely to respond to your inquiry and improve the App.

5. How We Use Your Information

We use the information described above for the following purposes:

  • To issue, activate, and validate your license for the App.
  • To provide customer support and respond to your requests.
  • To process refunds or resolve billing issues.
  • To maintain and improve the App, including debugging and performance analysis.
  • To comply with legal obligations, such as accounting, tax, and fraud prevention.

6. Legal Bases for Processing

Depending on your location, we may rely on different legal bases for processing your personal data, including:

  • Contract: processing necessary to provide the App and fulfill our obligations under the Terms of Service.
  • Legitimate interests: processing necessary to prevent abuse, maintain licensing, improve the App, and communicate with you about important updates.
  • Legal obligations: processing necessary to comply with applicable laws, such as tax and accounting rules.

7. Third-Party Services and Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited personal data with trusted third-party service providers who help us operate the App and related services, such as:

  • Payment processors (e.g., Whop) to process your purchase, issue invoices, and manage billing and tax compliance.
  • Email providers to send license details, receipts, and support replies.

These service providers are permitted to process your data only as necessary to provide services to us and are not allowed to use it for their own unrelated purposes.

We do not use analytics services, crash reporting SDKs, advertising networks, or social media tracking pixels in the App.

8. International Data Transfers

Depending on where you are located and where our service providers are based, your personal data may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, which may have different data protection laws. Where required, we take appropriate measures to ensure that such transfers comply with applicable data protection laws.

9. Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including maintaining license records, complying with legal obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing our agreements.

When we no longer need your personal data, we will delete it or anonymize it in accordance with our data retention practices and applicable law.

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. However, no system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data.

You are responsible for keeping your license key and any related credentials confidential and for ensuring that access to your Mac is appropriately secured.

11. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights with respect to your personal data, including the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal obligations.
  • Object to or restrict certain types of processing.
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format, where applicable.

12. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or a higher age as required by applicable law), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. 13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App, applicable laws, or our data practices. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. In some cases, we may provide additional notice (for example, via email or an in-app message).

Your continued use of the App after any changes to this Privacy Policy become effective will constitute your acknowledgment of the changes and your agreement to the updated policy. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the App.
